THE DO-RIGHT

Adaptation of the mystery novel, “The Do-Right” by Lisa Sandlin

“The Do-Right” – that’s old Southern talk for prison. Delpha Wade doesn’t want to go back there. Fourteen years is enough for killing the man who raped her back in 1959 and she wanted to kill the other one too, but he got away. It’s 1973, and nobody’s rushing to hire a parolee except neophyte private investigator, Tom Phelan, ex medic in Vietnam and roughneck on oil rigs.  Together these two pry into the dark corners of Beaumont Texas, a blue-collar, Cajun-influenced town dominated by Big Oil.

THE NATURE OF THINGS

A reclusive farmer’s life is turned outside in when her estranged siblings reunite on the family’s dank mushroom farm.  My Big Fat Greek Wedding meets Fantastic Funghi splash of One Hundred Years of Solitude

THE GIRL VANISHES

Screwball Romantic Comedy

When the realities of marriage and a new life in New York City  fall short of a Southern newlywed's expectations, she discovers inspiration and solace working as a chambermaid for the eccentric occupants of a storied country estate.  Eve's emotional yet humorous marital hiatus rides off the rails when her hubby arrives, the mansion goes up in flames, and the couple is forced to resolve their issues within the confines of a jail cell.  The comedic story follows Eve's impulsive rush into, subsequent escape from, and eventual reconciliation with married life.
